Reviews for Sabor Latino - Dallas
Review highlights
Based on 248 reviewsSabor Latino is widely recognized for its authentic Colombian cuisine and flavorful natural juices, drawing praise for the genuine taste that appeals to both locals and those familiar with Colombian food culture. Reviewers often highlight the quality of the empanadas and other traditional dishes, with many noting the satisfying and unique flavors despite occasional comments about portion sizes being smaller compared to other establishments. The atmosphere is described as unpretentious and modest, typical of a "hole in the wall," which many find adds to its charm. While the restaurant's early closing time limits dinner options, it remains a favored spot for lunch and casual dining. Service experiences appear mixed, with some customers appreciating the attentive recommendations while others mention occasional discomfort with staff demeanor. Overall, Sabor Latino is seen as a worthwhile destination for those seeking authentic Colombian flavors in a simple, no-frills setting.
Food is tasty but small portions compared to other Colombian places. However, portions are fulfilling. When I lived in NYC, I met lots of Colombians, and all of them were very nice people. However, the waiter in this place has an uncomfortable attitude...always. Anyway, although this is not the best Colombian restaurant, I can recommend it. NOTE: it closes at 6 pm, so you can't have dinner here.
Delicious place with delicious food. The place looks so-so, but the best holes in the wall usually do. The juices are delicious. The empanadas were good but even though it’s supposed to be a “meat” empanada it barely had any meat inside, mostly potatoes, yet it was still delicious. Will come back for sure.
This is an awesome place to eat!! Authentic colombian food and natural juices. You won’t regret eating here. Empanadas de carne are amazing!
this might be the best Colombian food in all of Dallas don’t let the area affect the food but everything here is incredible and the vibe is really nice! they have Colombian snacks and pastries also look no further
Great little spot for some good food. Stopped in for lunch. They are a new location but the food is excellent! Fernando suggested a juice and it was amazing! Definitely a location worth trying for some unique but tasty food.
I had an amazing lunch at this Colombian restaurant. Location is far but the flavor was authentic. The price was very affordable. The restaurant is small but I was full and definitely will come back for more.
My food was okay, I enjoyed drinking a soda from Colombia that I love since my trips to Colombia. However the service was lacking had to ask for the tab after waiting for quite a while and the server never returned once after bringing our food out. My plate came out rather quickly but my date's plate came several minutes later. On top of that her food was not up to her expectations since she is familiar with Colombian food, she found it lacking flavor and her yuca tasted slightly old. Was really hoping that it would have been better since the next closest Colombian restaurant is very far from where we live. We will probably make the drive to Carrollton going forward.
I don't eat a lot of Spanish food, but since this place is right next door, I thought I'd try it. The gentleman who took my order knew as much English as I knew Spanish (not much, lol) but we made it work! He was so polite and friendly! I ordered the "Arepa Rellena" with chicken and cheese. Came with a dipping sauce that I think has cilantro and onion in it.... lemme tell yall what, this was by far the tastiest food I've ever had, of any kind, period. The mix of flavors with that sauce, SOOO GOOD! I will definitely be coming back for more, and my wife (mi esposa who DOES speak Spanish, lol) have already made a date to go for dinner. Beautiful restaurant, very clean and inviting. 11 out of 10 for me all day long!!!!
